When thinking of Orlando, it is easy to focus only on the two major parks. However, there is much more to do! Just a few miles away from the city, in the heart of Winter Haven, there is a park where everyone, young and old, can let their creativity run wild. That place is LEGOLAND Florida. It is a common misconception that LEGOLAND is just for kids. So, our team of “adults” visited LEGOLAND Resort Florida to give you and your clients the scoop on this fun adventure.
Thrilling Rides
Turns out, most rides are adult AND kid friendly and we ended up having a blast at the park until closing! There are even some exciting roller coasters at LEGOLAND that are enough for adults to enjoy while still being kid-friendly. Here a list of some of the rides both adults and kids can enjoy!
- Coastersaurus: A wooden roller coaster that takes you in a Jurassic adventure.
- Flying School: A suspended coaster that makes you feel like you are flying.
- LEGO NINJAGO The Ride: An interactive ride where you can become a Ninja
- The Dragon: LEGOLAND’s classic medieval indoor AND outdoor coaster.
- The Great LEGO Race: A coaster combined with a VR experience that puts you right in the middle of a race.
- THE LEGO MOVIE Masters of Flight: A flying theater attraction that takes you on a fun adventure alongside Emmet, Wyldstyle, Unikitty and Benny.
There is also a land made just for the little ones. DUPLO Valley has many attractions perfect for the smallest tots!
From young to old, there is something for everybody at LEGOLAND.
The LEGO Movie World
The LEGO Movie has invaded LEGOLAND Florida and become the park’s newest land! Join Emmet, Wyldstyle and all their friends as you get to experience Bircksburg in real life! There are three exciting attractions, The LEGO Movie masters of Flight, Unikitty’s Disco Drop, and Battle of Bricksburg, as well as themed playgrounds, stores, and even a meet and greet location! Come see the land where “everything is awesome!”
Historic Beauty
Florida’s first commercial tourist theme park, Cypress Gardens, is still alive inside of LEGOLAND. Guests can stroll around this stunning botanical garden and gaze upon impressive fauna, including the breathtaking Banyan tree, beautiful fountains, and gazebos. You can also find a Florida Shaped Pool that was featured in the 1953 film “Easy to Love” as well as LEGO replicas of the park’s famous Southern Belles. The garden is so stunning that it should not be missed!
Exciting shows
A famous attraction at Cypress Gardens was the water ski shows, and LEGOLAND kept the tradition alive but added a small “brick of a twist”. Sit down and enjoy an up-front view on a unique take of an old fan favorite.
Let your creativity run wild
Playing with LEGOs is all about unleashing your creativity and building whatever you can dream! This concept translates fluidly throughout the LEGOLAND theme park. Most, if not all, attractions have a LEGO activity area where kids can have fun and build away instead of waiting in line. As if that wasn’t enough, there is an Imagination Zone where kids can let their creativity run wild by building their own race cars, flyers, buildings, or anything else that their imagination desires!
Everyone can get inspiration for their LEGO creations at my personal favorite part of the park, MINILAND USA. Here guests can be amazed at the life-like replicas of famous American cities, all made out of LEGOs! It is simply impressive. The best part is that some displays even move and have special effects!
Delicious Dining
For those expecting LEGOLAND to only have your typical “theme park food”, your prayers have been answered! From fan favorites to vegetarian and even vegan foods, LEGOLAND has something for everyone! Guests with special diets or allergies can also use their Dietary Guide to know what places are best to eat at. We highly recommend the Panini Grill. Their Vegan panini was creative and delicious!
