Pack your passports because today we are traveling to the French and Italian Riviera at Walt Disney World’s newest resort! This Resort is themed to portray the beautiful European Riviera and was inspired by Walt Disney’s trips to the region.

Throughout the resort you will find odes to the region from which the inspiration arises. From the names of the restaurants, to the European inspired Disney art, movie posters, and memorabilia from Walt’s own travels to the Riviera, its a sight to see. We highly recommend that guests take their time to walk around the resort and see all of the breathtaking art.

Rooms

Disney’s Riviera Resort opened mid-December 2019 and became the newest Disney Vacation Club Resort. The rooms were designed to give you the comfort of a home away from home including dishware and even a kitchen for the villas. While the resort is part of Disney’s Time-Share, you can book a room at any time.

Remember the stunning Disney art that we mentioned? Every room is also beautifully adorned with Disney works of art to add a nice touch of elegance. Guests can book studios for 5 adults and villas for up to 12 adults! The most innovative room offering however are the Tower Rooms designed for couples which includes a couch with a murphy bed, a deluxe bathroom and a romantic balcony!

Entertainment

The resort is filled with fun things for guests to enjoy! On top of the typical Disney entertainment like trivia and movies under the stars, the Riviera comes with fun games such as a life-size chess board as well as the European classic Bocce ball. There are also games inside at the cozy Voyager’s Lounge where guests can play scrabble, cards or checkers while they sip on their espressos.

Guest can also take a break from the Florida heat and swim in one of the two pools at the Riviera while the little ones splash around the kid’s water playground S’il Vous Play (pun intended).

Dining

True to its European counterpart, the Riviera resort has dining options for every occasion. Take a look at some of the savory options.

Le Petit Café – True to its name, which is a nice nod to Disney’s Aristocats, this quaint little café serves delicious lattes and pastries all day and at night they serve delicious French cheese and wine!

Bar Riva – This elegant and relaxing poolside bar will make you want to order an Aperol Spritz and feel transported to the Riviera. The bar offers diverse Italian inspired drinks as well as tasty snacks for a relaxing pool day.

Primo Piatto – Do not be fooled, this might be the Riviera’s quick-service but it does not lack in taste or luxury! Guests are able to order delicious Italian flatbreads, pastas and gelatos without having to break the bank or wait for a full sit-down meal.

Topolino’s Terrace – This stunning restaurant is the flagship of the resort, which is no surprise since it is the Italian name for the best Mouse around, Mickey. In the mornings, guests get to meet the the mouse himself along with his friends adorned with exclusive costumes for the Riviera Resort. Showing off their artistic European inspired hobbies, Mickey is a painter, Minnie is a poet, Donald is a sculptor and Daisy is a ballerina. At night, the theme switches to luxury. Guests are surrounded by breathtaking views from this rooftop restaurant and can even enjoy the fireworks from their tables or from the terrace while they dine on refined hand-made Italian pastas.

Transportation

The Riviera boasts the same transportation services all Disney resorts have including buses transportation to the parks and Disney’s Magical Express to the Airport. However, there is also a Skyliner station at the Riviera where guests can board a gondola to Epcot or Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Disney’s newest mode of transportation.

Merchandise

Disney’s Riviera Resort theming even extends to its merchandise options! The resort has many exclusive items including its own Minnie Ears and even plush of Mickey and his friends in their Riviera themed costumes! Trés Chic!
