GoPegasus Tracks 2020 Travel Trends
Always on the forefront of the next best thing in travel, GoPegasus stays on top of the latest global travel trends to make sure we are prepared to meet the evolving needs of our customers. Following are some of the industry trends in 2020.
Younger Travelers are enjoying Guided Tours
The senior traveler often comes to mind when thinking of guided motorcoach tours – but not anymore. Guided tours are increasing in popularity among travelers between ages 18-34 more than any other age group, according to a report released by Arival, a company that follows tour and travel trends. This demographic group, spanning across both Millennials and Gen Xers, is causing tour and transportation companies to take a closer look at typical sightseeing itineraries.
This group might be considered to be all about high tech and high speed, but their sophisticated travel tastes are now demanding a more immersive and authentic travel experience that helps them relate to the local culture and environment. And today’s younger travelers are willing to pay more for this experience.
GoPegasus continually strives to deliver the best in authentic experiences. Our customized group experiences go beyond the turnstiles, and extend to behind-the-scenes and off-the-beaten-path experiences, from exploring native Florida wildlife from aboard an airboat, to discovering the state’s impressive history that existed long before the theme parks.
Multi-generational trips also continue to increase, with grandparents, children and grandchildren enjoying family time together while engaging in new travel experiences. An Orlando vacation offers diversity and plenty of activities for all ages. Looking for an Orlando transportation company that can nurture family bonding and create lasting memories? Family-owned GoPegasus has firsthand experience and local knowledge to ensure that holiday memories will stay with you and your family for generations to come.
Sustainable and Socially Conscious Travel
Younger travelers have also been the catalyst for a renaissance of sustainable travel and “travel with a purpose.” Reducing the carbon footprint and giving back to local communities have become a priority for many travelers. GoPegasus is fully onboard.
We maintain a fleet of both large motorcoaches and minibuses to be able to adapt to different sized groups, allowing for more efficient and economic use of space. Our maintenance team also inspects all vehicles daily in our in-house garage to make sure they are in top working condition for safety and fuel maximization.
GoPegasus practices its core philosophy of giving back to the local Orlando community through donations and service. For companies seeking an Orlando travel partner who understands the value of Corporate Social Responsibility, GoPegasus comes through every time.
“Bleisure” Travel on the Rise
A global trend shows that “bleisure” travel continues to increase in importance with more and more travelers combining business and leisure travel. Not surprising is that millennials are again leading the way. According to American Express Global Travel, a survey found that 55% of millennial travelers were willing to extend a business trip to enjoy the destination on their own.
Combining business and pleasure is nothing new to GoPegasus. Servicing corporate and leisure clients go hand and hand, and GoPegasus can work with meeting planners or corporations to create travel packages for those business travelers who want to add on a day or two to enjoy Florida’s warm weather and fabulous attractions.
